What happens during the free trial?
You get 14 days of full access to all features. We ask for a credit card to keep the platform secure, but you won't be charged during the trial. Cancel anytime before it ends—no questions asked.
What if I exceed my user limit?
Simply add users at $15/user for Team plan or $10/user for Professional. We'll notify you before any changes to your bill.
What if I need more deadlines monitored?
Each plan monitors a generous number of active deadlines at once — up to 500 on Solo, 2,500 on Team, and 7,500 on Professional. New customers also get a higher daily creation rate in their first 30 days to load an existing backlog faster (the active-deadline capacity still applies). Sized so you'll rarely hit them; if you do, upgrade to the next tier, or contact us about Enterprise for unlimited capacity.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes! No long-term contracts. Cancel anytime and keep your data. Monthly plans can be cancelled before your next billing date.
What makes the Backstop different?
Every deadline automatically gets a backup person monitoring it. No other software has this. If you're unavailable, your Backstop gets alerts to ensure nothing falls through.
Do you integrate with existing software?
Yes! We work alongside LEAP, Smokeball, ActionStep, and others via calendar sync (Outlook/Google) and email integration.
Is my data secure?
Industry-standard encryption (XSalsa20-Poly1305 for client PII at rest, TLS in transit), two-factor authentication, role-based access control, complete audit logging, and Australian data residency (Supabase Sydney region). We are NOT currently SOC 2 Type II or ISO 27001 certified - certification work is on our roadmap.
