- Duetiful is still under active development
- Bugs and downtime may occur
- Features may change
- We are not yet SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certified (working toward it)
- You are using Beta software — expect some rough edges
2. ✅ You are Responsible for Your Deadlines
This is critical:
- Duetiful is a tool, not a guarantee
- YOU are responsible for meeting your professional deadlines
- Do not rely solely on Duetiful — maintain backup systems
- Check reminders regularly — emails may be delayed or go to spam
- Verify critical deadlines through other means
If you miss a deadline: We are not liable for consequences (malpractice claims, penalties, lost clients, etc.)
3. 🔐 Your Data & Privacy
Where your data goes:
- Stored in Australia (Supabase Sydney region)

Data deletion:
- Delete account anytime
- 60-day grace period to export data
- After 60 days: permanently deleted (cannot recover)

4. 👥 Team Visibility
Understand who can see what:
- Backstop Advisers see full reminder details (title, dates, notes, client info)
- Organization admins see all users' reminders and activity
- Team leaders see their team's data
- If you need something private, do not put it in Duetiful
5. 💳 Pricing & Refunds
How billing works:
- Monthly or annual subscriptions
- Auto-renews until you cancel
- Billed by Lemon Squeezy (shows as "LEMSQZY*Duetiful" on statement)
Refund policy:
- 60-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers
- After 60 days: No refunds for unused time
- Cancel anytime — access until end of billing period
6. 🚫 What You Cannot Do
Don't:
- Share your login credentials
- Upload sensitive info (health records, criminal records, financial accounts)
- Use for illegal purposes
- Resell or redistribute the Service
- Hack, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Service
Consequences: Account suspension or termination (no refund)
7. ⚖️ Disputes & Legal Stuff
If we have a dispute:
- Talk to us first (30 days to resolve informally)
- Mediation (optional but encouraged)
- Arbitration (binding, in Sydney, NSW)
- No class actions (individual disputes only)
Governing law: New South Wales, Australia
Limitation of liability:
- Maximum we'll owe: Lesser of 12 months of fees or $1,000
- Not liable for missed deadlines or consequential damages

Q: Can I use Duetiful for critical court deadlines?
A: You can, but maintain backup systems. We are not liable if reminders fail. Do not rely solely on Duetiful.
Q: What if my email does not deliver?
A: Check spam, whitelist @duetiful.com, and log in to Duetiful directly. Email delivery is not guaranteed.
Q: Can I get my data back after deletion?
A: Only within 60 days of deletion. After that, it is permanently gone. Export regularly!
Q: Who can see my reminders?
A: You, your Backstop Advisers (full details), and organization admins (if you are in an org account).
Q: What if Duetiful shuts down?
A: We will give 90 days' notice. Export your data immediately. Keep regular backups.
Q: Am I locked into a contract?
A: No. Cancel anytime — access until end of current billing period.
Q: Can I sue if I miss a deadline?
A: You can try, but we have strong liability limitations. Maximum recovery: lesser of 12 months fees or $1,000.
Q: Is my payment information safe?
A: Yes. Lemon Squeezy (not us) handles all payment processing. We never see your card details.

- Using strong password + MFA (protect your account)
- Not sharing login credentials (each user needs own account)
- Verifying critical deadlines (through other means)
- Understanding professional responsibility (Duetiful assists, does not replace)
